Re: Baldwin Coal Bunker
Douglas was a long time member and on the Committee of the Industrial Railway Society, so it is possible that he willed his railway collection and copyrights to the IRS.
It might be worth checking

Re: Baldwin Coal Bunker
Thanks very much for the clarification David.
I think that I am probably okay given how I am using the original information and the fact that I don't want to formally publish, just share. Douglas

If you add sufficient intellectual property from your own efforts to something that was originally produced by someone else, and you don’t show anything extraneous from the original, then you

Re: Baldwin Coal Bunker
Thanks Robin,
That answers my question very well indeed and your two articles add much food for thought and greater understanding. Results of all this research should be evident on the layout

Re: Baldwin Coal Bunker
Hi Kevin & Mark,
I have added a sketch of what I think the arrangement is to Mark’s folder.

Re: Baldwin Coal Bunker
Way back in the 1980's, I started doing quite a bit of research into the WDLR Baldwin steam locos. I pulled together a few notes, mainly based on the available photographic evidence from books which

Re: Baldwin Coal Bunker
Hi Kevin,
I will try to attach this sketch which is the best that I could come up with in the 1980’s. It seems to agree pretty closely with Marks photos.
Cheers,
Robin

Re: Baldwin Coal Bunker
Hi Kevin,
I've just started an album 'WDLR Baldwin coal bunker' and added 3 photo's of the coal bunker doors on the Leighton Buzzard Baldwin. No dimensions unfortunately.
Cheers,
Mark.

Baldwin Coal Bunker
Does anyone have any clear photos of the coal bunker of a WDLR Baldwin taken from inside the cab and showing the lifting doors please? Better still if anyone has intimate relations with a real one

Re: Figures for Kevin Hughes' WDLR layout
Thanks for this. I do recall seeing somewhere photos of the figures PLM makes. Does anyone have the same recollection and can point me in the right direction?

I have just scanned and uploaded the 2017 Catalogue and Price List for PLM Castaways WW1 figures and accessories, as promised a while ago.
It is a pdf in the Files section.

Re: Figures for Kevin Hughes' WDLR layout
It isn’t just 7mm scale that would benefit from in-situ scanning of full-size drivers to facilitate 3D prints. Slater’s 16mm WWI Simplex cries out for a decent driver model to go with it.

Re: Figures for Kevin Hughes' WDLR layout
Hello everyone,
Yes I am on this group although Yahoo plays very strange games on my computer so don't get to access it that often.
Yes, a lot of the figures are PLM and they are quite frustrating

Re: Figures for Kevin Hughes' WDLR layout
David,
Its not mysterious, it is just a bit old fashioned and, I acknowledge, jolly frustrating for those who have little or no chance of ever seeing Phil's very well-presented stand at the

Re: Figures for Kevin Hughes' WDLR layout
Ryk,
I'm not able to do so immediately but I will try and find my copies of the PLM catalogues and update sheets and put some scans up.

Re: Figures for Kevin Hughes' WDLR layout
I’m after some WW1 soldiers, so I sent him an email this morning. He called straight back and a list is in the post this evening.

Re: Figures for Kevin Hughes' WDLR layout
Is there a listing of figures available from PLM as there does not appear to be a website?
