Re: 7mm Irish Narrow Gauge on 21mm
Slaters do some wheels. I got some for my aborted 3ft Ravenglass and Eskdale project they are not bad and they will supply standard gauge wheels on 3ft axles.

Re: 7mm Irish Narrow Gauge on 21mm
Hi Kelvin,
I would suggest looking at David Holman's Fintonagh - Irish Narrow Gauge 7mm/ft on 21mm gauge.
David has a thread on the Irish Railway Modeller forum.

7mm Irish Narrow Gauge on 21mm
I’ve abandoned thoughts of using 5.5mm/ft on 16.5mm. Is anybody on this list modelling the Irish or IoM in 7mm on 21mm gauge track? I want advise on available kits etc.
thanks
best

Re: Track Experiments
?Hi David - I’m awaiting a baseplate etch test sample from Narrow Planet (with associated clip - you would have to source the bolt separately) as per the Lynton and Barnstaple in SR days, now

I found this thread while searching for information regarding flat bottom rail base plates, I'm not yet sure if I'll use code 75 or 83 rail, being short of sanity I will be using individual ply

Re: Nigel Lawton Simplex kit
The Kadee coupler is not sprung. It is a tight fit so it won't flop around, but it can move a bit. With small industrial locomotives you can normally get away without using the Kadee draft box as the

Really nice idea Michael. It has given me an idea for interchangeable

Re: Nigel Lawton Simplex kit
That looks to be a very neat solution to fitting Kadee couplings. Have you been able to spring them at all?

Re: Nigel Lawton Simplex kit
I have built a pair of 2 level coupler pockets out of 40th styrene sheet and added them to my Simplex locomotive. I found a centre set Kadee #5 coupler could be fitted at the correct height in the

That productive group of northern French NG modellers that rejoice under the title "escadrille saint michel” have a Nigel Lawton Simplex that works well, and might even boast KaDee couplers. I spoke

I just thought I'd put in my twopeneth.
I built the simplex when they first came out, so I can't remember the details, but I didn't have any trouble getting the fan to work. Unfortunately, when gluing

Thanks to all those who responded. No-one appears to have made the fan work, so I won't feel to bad about it either. I have just bought a KBScale Lister kit with driver. The driver is too fat to fit

Did more or less what you did with the coupling but on a KB Scale Lister. One trick, drill into the end of the shaft and Araldite in a very thin length of phosphor bronze wire so the
