Being O14 rather than O16.5 the boss is hard up against the back of the driving wheel and obscured by the brake rigging, so there’s precious little space to play with. Still, that does sound like a challenge….!

And at least my loco only suffers from builder’s incompetence (ie by me) rather than feline attention - although the cat probably thought it was great fun, even if the owner didn’t.

I've got an NGG16 upside down on my desk in front of me and I can clearly see a boss and I think its drillable.
This one has much bigger issues having suffered mog induced flight off a customers layout followed by a sudden stop on a tiled floor
