开云体育Well, that certainly sounds an interesting proposition, I’d be very
interested. Please express my interest next time you chat with Davis. I’m hoping
to get it built with functioning valve gear – so it might be a more long-term
project.

I was talking to one of my loco builders yesterday. He asked me if my
Simplex (peaked roof – W271) should be built on the Keykits B102 Motor Bogie? I
said I’d look into it. Are the B102s the thing to run under these Simplexes? I
have another – the Turtle model W225. Luckily I have a spare B102, problem
solved maybe...

Thanks everyone for the help and advice.

I had a brief chat with David of KB
Scale at last ExpoNG about using his Simplex chassis for the De Winton.?
David was happy to make modifications and possibly a larger motor/flywheel could
be fitted.
?
I have (literally) only just
acquired the De Winton so detailed planning has yet to commence.? I will
keep you posted.

Hi Tim,
?
What is the kit number on the
Simplex?? KB Scale do a chassi that fits one of the Wrightline kits.?
They not in stock at present due to issues with motor supply as Mashima are no
longer producing motors.? Wrightlines themselves I think produce a chassi
also.

Hi everyone,
?
I’m got a Wrightlines DeWinton Vertical
Boiler kit and a Wrightlines open Simplex kit that I’d like to build. I’m
wondering what my options are for power unit? Obviously it needs to be 14mm
gauge. If anyone has any advice or experience I’d be very grateful.
?
Thanks in advance, Tim
