Hi Marc
?
I have heard of them and I think Branchlines
use them now for their 00n3 kits, the main problem is the mounting holes do not
line up with you existing motors, so you may well find that you need to change
this.
?
Hope this helps.
?
I hope I dont upset anyone but I have
attached a sheet of motor details from Branchlines I got a couple of years
ago.
?
Regards
?

I'm currently investigating a company called Matsumi their products look
comparable but not over sure on the spec being a mere ? mechanical
engineer and not one who practices the dark arts. Sorry electrical engineering
and witchcraft so easy to mix up.

Hi all
?
Having had a few problems with my own
computer I have missed out on a few subjects and this one about 014 models
and motors has me scratching my head can some one on here give me some idea
of what is wanted motor wise, i.e.?size, power output,
etc.
?
I would have thought there must be other
motors out there that can be used as replacements?

Models
Motor issue is a big problem most standard and NG loco apart from RTR
use Mashima motors. We are producing our last 7mm standard gauge
locomotives with them this month. After this point we are going to have to
source motors then hopefully adapt our locomotives accordingly, if not
it's the end of the line for our and most other loco kits.
The time spent doing this has stopped me doing
any modelling for my self. I was hoping to have started my 0-14 layout
this year but there we go.

I think (looking at the news page) that the problem has been sourcing
the Mashima motors that most of the loco kits are designed around. These
motors are no longer being made and I believe the stock has been sold
off so they will become increasingly difficult to find, which will
impact on the availability of kits from a number of manufacturers until
replacements can be sorted out,
Mark

Does anyone know what the
position regarding KBscale?
Most of the items on
their webpage are marked as "Temporarily n/a" (not available)
and there have been only two new items on the "News" page since
November 2014! Also he states he has no plans to attend any
exhibitions!
Is this company shutting down?
