I too picked up a Wren from Mark at the weekend (must have been a good day for him!), after being impressed by the model on his stand. In fact all the stuff on his stand looked great. The deal clincher was the fact that the cab roof support rail is supplied pre-formed, getting the bends in that looked like "fun". Thankfully they are jig assembled by Mark. ?
I started looking at the chassis last night but lack of tools stopped play. There are some heavyweight brass bearings supplied for the rear axle and my largest broach was not manly enough. Whilst I order a larger one thoughts have moved on to whether you could spring the loco with a continuous beam - although getting enough weight to actually get the springing to work could be a challenge. Maybe a case of making more work for yourself.?
The kit looks great though..looking forward to continuing work on it.

I too bought a Wren from Mark on Saturday on a whim!! What a little beauty - well done Mark. I felt my modelling was stagnating and I have been spending the late evenings asleep in front of the tele; but not since Saturday! So far we have a basic chassis block and some lovely marine type rods. Should get the hornblocks and cylinders done tonight. The etchings are crisp and fit. The lost wax castings are clean and beautifully moulded and the instructions clear with great diagrams. A thumbs up to Locosnstuff. Paul
