I agree with you Michael that I personally would always use wooden sleepers made to fit the plan, however I believe that many would want an easier route, hence my suggestion.
You rightly point out that ready made frogs/crossings in Karlgarin rail as well as blades would be very welcome - potentially a game changer for O14. I have pondered a move into this area myself but given my lack of progress on point levers don't hold your breath.
