I can't get on the air today, but let us know how it went.
So far, not so great. :(
On Wednesday, I could hear a lot of faint packet activity at 28105 LSB, but Direwolf only decoded a few packets throughout the entire day. I did run SoundModem simultaneously for a while, which did decode a few more packets than Direwolf, but still not very much at all. I tried connecting to the one station I decoded, and I could -barely- hear what sounded like a response, but I could not decode it.
Thursday, I didn't have as much time to play radio throughout the day. I did see one station connect to me a couple of times, but it seemed to timeout and disconnect very quickly. Nothing else in the 3-4 hours that I was on the band.
I'll try again today, once the MUF starts approaching 10m, and if I have some time I might work on improving my 10m antenna situation.
I am curious to try it on Saturday too, and see how the solar eclipse will affect propagation on 10m.
Cheers,
