Is that flat 7-segment tube the neo5000? I have a few and I've
been trying to identify them for a while. Do you know where I
can find any data sheets on these?
yes !that is a NEO5000 the neo8000 is larger<snip>
Okay so that is their number :)
I have had one of each of NEO5000 /8000 for some years without really
bothering too locate specs/numbers...
Nice to know what they are.
Mine are not 100% identical with the pics, though.. Hmmm... My "NEO5000"
does not have that cirlcle in the upper left corner..
And has following printed on the back side : "IEE NEO5 PG150-27"
My "NEO8000" Doesn't have the two dark rings in the segment nor the upper
left ring... no printing anywhere..
Otherwise they're identical..
I will see I can upload pictures of them..
I was just looking back over this topic again and notice something I hadn't before, that Dan Burer's "NEO-5000" style devices are marked as being made by IEE (Industrial Electronic Engineers), of projection indicator and NIMO tube fame.
So, we now have at least two and possibly three different makers of the NEO-xxxx indicators. I guess three, based on my datasheet (of unknown origin) listing all dimensions in millimeters, while my IEE NIMO tube datasheets give them in inches -- plus Matsushita having entirely different part numbers for their versions.
