State save/recall #firmware

I'm running nanoVNA @edy555 version firmware v0.5.4. Is there the ability to save the state of the nanoVNA over power cycles? I have the battery installed, and I can recall 0-4, but not save anything that could be recalled. Am I missing something? I have only had this for a few days, so that could be possible.

Not being able to save the "state" of the nanoVNA is my #1 dislike.
My work around is to save it to "place zero" of recallables as then it will
survive on/off . Once I get set up for a frequency I want to work on I
stay there for a week at a time.

Why not save it to any of the other 3 or 4 save locations instead of the power-on default?
Set up what you want then select calibrate, save, location.
To recall, go to recall, location.

Thanks! That worked. The only save button in my particular firmware is in the CAL page - I assumed that was just for saving the calibration values, but it seems to save the operating state too.

I have a similar question.

What settings/configuration exactly is saved/recalled?

There are two SAVE buttons on the NanoVNA, H and H4 display.?
The first save is found in the config menu and is used to save items such as trace colour, touchscreen calibration and now grid type and numerical display on the right of the LCD.?
The other save is found in the Calibration menu and is used to save into one of several memory slots, calibration for a specified freq range, which traces and markers are enabled, what function is assigned to those traces and markers and a couple of other items.?
Essentially, after you get your free range set up and calibrated and traces, functions and markets configured the way you want, you go back to the Calibration menu and Save that setup to a memory slot.?
Just remember that Slot 0 is always recalled by default at device power-on.

So is scale. reference position and electrical delay saved?

As I'm learning and tinkering with settings I'm not sure if there is an easy way to reset back to the defaults.

The way you reset back to defaults is to connect the Nanovna to a serial terminal and run the

??????????????? clearconfig 1234

command
