Ok. Good advice. I will prepare myself to do the upgrade but will do some benchmarking first to make sure that 1) I can use the functions that I need and 2) that the device works reliably.

I would recommend using it as-is for awhile without upgrading the firmware, just to avoid another unknown until you are familiar with the device. The 1.1 firmware is solid and works fine for all of

Try putting a couple of ferrite beads on your USB cable between the nanovna and computer. You're likely getting some RF coupling onto this line, causing some errors.

Read the tutorial in the files section, fairly easy to do it and no need to worry about bricking the device, practically impossible to do that. Make sure that you select the H and not H4 version.

NanoVNA Saver Error Message
I am getting an "ERROR during sweep" message when using NanoVNA Saver version 0.3.9. The message states "failed reading data 1 10 times, Data outside expected valid ranges, or in an unexpected format.
