Re: Does anyone know how sensitive the nanovna is to electrostatic discharge?
From the info from NXP, neither the SA602AD or the SA612AD indicate a max. input signal into either port. Max Vcc is 9 Volts though They list TOIP, but not a maximum input signal level, or frequency.

Re: Does anyone know how sensitive the nanovna is to electrostatic discharge?
ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) is not the issue. 90-watts into a sub-milliwatt port is the real problem! Likely some silicon was disordered from its engineered ordered state. Dave - W?LEV -- *Dave -

Re: Does anyone know how sensitive the nanovna is to electrostatic discharge?
I have apparently tested and exceeded the limit by briefly sending about 90w rf at 50 MHz into the CH0 port of my nanovna-H. --by accident-- I wanted to upgrade to the larger display H4 model anyways.

Re: Dipole length
Point 1) is wrong (if resistance is greater than 50 ohms), Point 2) is correct. Use your nanovna to measure the phase of S11 for a resistor that has a value between perhaps 60 and 100 ohms. Keep the

As Miro has pointed out, tuning an antenna for resonance by looking for a pure resistance in the nanovna display must be done when measuring at the antenna feedpoint. This can be done by attaching

1) Yes, measure the frequency where the phase shifts from +180 to -180 degrees. 2) Using the definition of resonance: Measure the frequency where the complex portion of the impedance goes to zero. In

Re: Dipole length
It's a bit more complicated than that. When the resistance at resonance is less than the 50 ohm impedance of the VNA, the reflection is 180 degrees out of phase with the incident signal. This would be

All valid comments, but I'd like to add a bit more :) 1) Antena resonance vs low SWR Those two are not always at the same antenna length/frequency. Resonant antena exhibits only resistance (the real

Why the firmware now is removed for the public? I found it very good and would like to recommend it to other users. But if they can't download it, it is of no use.

You can measure resonance with the nano by observing the phase.? When the phase switches from 180 degrees to -180 degrees you have resonance.? But minimum SWR is usually a good enough indicator if
