Re: Early app for the NanoVNA
As I understand the firmware, it interpolates between the calibration
points. But I do get some absolutely horrible results around the frequency
where it transitions to using harmonics (270MHz for my

Hi Rune. Your contribution to the nanoVNA community is really appreciated. I have a question for you. When you divided the test frequency range into multiple sweeps to increase resolution from 101

Re: Calibration via NanoVNA app versus the Device
Hi Warren,
Just to clarify. App vs. Device. I probably missed the definition of App... I assume that is a PC comm with the VNA while the Device is operating the VNA directly from the touch screen?

Re: Calibration via NanoVNA app versus the Device
One quick correction. If you Recall0 from the app the legend on the device will change from ¡°C0¡± to ¡°c*¡± indicating it is no longer internally calibrated.

Calibration via NanoVNA app versus the Device
I am not sure this has been noted before and if it has I apologize.
I have noted that the calibration values saved and recalled in locations 0-4 are different on the app than on the device. In other

Re: Larger Display...
@carsten
it's not a "phone" any more, for this purpose it is a single board computer. the Bird engineers create the firmware to load onto it, therefore the Android update schedule is a non sequitur.

Re: Early app for the NanoVNA
The file to run is nanovna-saver.py. You need to have installed "PyQT5"
and "pyserial" first - I *believe* you can run "pip3 install pyqt5" and
"pip3 install pyserial" to do so. Maybe Marcel can

Re: Larger Display...
Not really - for a dedicated piece of test equipment, the intent of the design is fine.
Nowhere in in manual is a guarantee that the device will run end-user apps.
Most end-users will use it with the

Re: Place to buy
My Hugen NanoVNA arrived day before yesterday. No issues, the packaging
seems to have held out well.
Haven't tested it yet.

Early app for the NanoVNA
Hi,
after having a play with the NanoVNASharp software, I had two small
annoyances:
1) It only used 101 data points, which didn't give me the resolution I was
looking for,
2) It wasn't open

If you can get the Webusb app to work with an inexpensive Android tablet or Raspberry Pi, it should be fairly easy to mount it and the NanoVNA in the same package.
You could easily add BNC ot N
