Re: NanoVNA Testboard kit VNA Test Demo Board

Hello Luis, You haven't taken in account your time, your hourly rate. If I did then it's cheaper for me to buy than to make. Not that it will be, I don't need them. Of course it varies but a lot of

Ok if you ask I will answer: Between my junk box and ordered parts I can make from scratch 3 units for under 3usd, with (3) different patterns. If not using junk box it would be 4usd for the 3. It's

Re: Use NanoVNA to Evaluate Unlabeled Toroids?
Hi Pete, Enclosed is the s2p example as generated by NanoSaver 0.2.1 for a 3S4 type core (6 wdgs, 35mm diameter). This output is : Stim ? Real(S11)?? Imag(S11)?? Real(S21)?? Imag(S21)??

I got two of this test board and made one of them. It worth the cost. Why bother to do from scratch. VR2XHQ

Re: nanoVNA-H -Strange behavior with YAGI Ant
Measuring antennas... Depending if the antenna is balanced like a dipole then a choke balun (1:1 unun)is a must at the antenna as RF on the shield will be painful and inconsistant. Antennas like

TDR gives lenght and VNA wants delay for a cable
I have a short lenght of cable between VNA and Device Under Test. It would help if TDR and VNA had same units. There are formulas, but they need searching, I can't remember them out of my head.

Re: nanoVNA-H -Strange behavior with YAGI Ant
Don't forget if the load is close to or at 50 ohms, the length of you coax means very little as long as the coax length? is reasonable.? So if you measure close to 50 ohms that's what the load is.

hello to be sure is to test as near as possible of the antenna less than one meter. And afterwards to use the coaxial cable. Depending of the nature and the length of your cable, you may find very

Re: Use NanoVNA to Evaluate Unlabeled Toroids?
Hi Arie, Does Nanovna Sharp output a different format than Nanovna Saver? Just looked at an s2p file from sharp. It appears to be the S21 linear and phase angle. The DUT is 15 turns on a high

Re: Use NanoVNA to Evaluate Unlabeled Toroids?
Pete, Thanks for that! I had already modified the G3TXQ sheet, but yours is nice and simple. One thing I think I shpould mention, your entry fields are: linear(S21) and phase(S21) In the S2P files

To calculate the Z of the DUT between Ch0 and Ch1 (using S21 Series method), I initially used G3TXQ's method after converting from his formats to what the Nanovna outputs. However, I found an Agilent
