Re: VNA/J
Though in possibly the wrong group, run your calibration procedure with the length of coax that you wish to be left out of measurement attached to the VNA you are using. Ive found that using the cal

what I do is make the calibration at the end of the coax (open, Short, Load), and then save that cal set. I don't think Nanovna-saver can do a full deembedding. It can take out a length, but not the

One way is to calibrate the NanoVNA with the calibration loads connected at the far end of the coax cable, where your antenna is normally connected. That is, calibration loads connected INSTEAD of

Re: VNA/J
I meant of course NanoVNA Saver. not VNA/J. I have made measurements of my vertical via the coax using my NanoVNA connected to my PC using NanoVNA Saver. VNASaver shows that the echoflex10 coax is

You are using older firmware from 2020. I just tried version 5.4 with a NanoVNA-H running 2019 firmware and it crashed too. Downloaded the latest version 5.5 and it runs OK. Roger

Re: VNA/J
I think you might be in the wrong group... VNA-J is a software application for the miniVNA and miniVNApro. It does not interface to NanoVNA devices. Roger

Re: Slow NanoVNA-H FW Upgrade

Some USB 3 ports do not handle USB 2 devices very well. If you only have USB 3 ports try plugging in an old USB 2 hub into a USB 3 port and then plug the NanoVNA into the Hub. Roger

Interesting. Sounds like plugging in the USB2 memory stick switched the computer's internal USB hub into a USB2 compatibility mode that allowed the port to work correctly for the nanovna.

Good news!!! It finished and it is now upgraded and working fine. Don't ask me what happened. I have no explanation but, here is my experience, in case someone else runs into this. New to NanoVNA.

VNA/J
How do I get VNA/J to compensate for my length of coax in measurements. I am trying to measure the impedance of my 6.3m vertical across HF. It says it estimates I have 12.1m of coax. It is echoflex.
