Re: DiSlord v1.2.0 instability even though MS5351 clock-generator is selected (MS-3.6 HW version)

On the NanoVNA-H and NanoVNA-H4, if MS5351M is used, the MS suffix is added to the version number on the label of the backshell, such as 3.6_MS or 4.3_MS.

The video shows the driver in the BIN file in the program86 folder . FYI
I got mine to talking, still get. Scattered lines after calibration.
Trash can, bummer:(

Make sure you load the correct version of the dfu file - there is a difference between the H and H4 (2.8" and 4") versions.

Re: Anything for Windows 7?

Of course you did! Win 98 was terrible!

Re: My Win 11 machine does not recognize the Nanovna H4 in DFU mode. #nanovna-h4

Just FYI.. None of the highly qualified PC professional and or PhD gurus I
know will allow Win 11 in their machines until it has had a few years on
the market for Microsoft to work out the bugs. There is no reason to
"upgrade" just to pay more $$ to Microsoft. I'm in no rush to gather bugs.

Best to keep Win 10 and use Virtualbox to run Win11 in a separate section
if you feel you must have stuff on the "bleeding edge" of Microsoft's
"technology".
Vbox is likely to run most things faster. I have an extra 2tb ssd in my
laptop so I can run XP Pro for my legacy stuff in a 100gb slice and Ubuntu
Linux in a 400gb slice and still have an extra 500gb above my 2tb C drive.

Vbox is free and easy to use

Try this.. Go into Expert Settings and select Clear Config (password is 1234). Then do a Touch Cal to calibrate your touch screen. Then Save. This should restore default settings. Then try calibration (remember to reset before calibrating).

Well, I am not a computer tech. Finally figured out that win 10 drivers
would work and there is driver loading software in the 64 bit H4 zip file. I
upgraded to DIslords
v .1.0.71. Got the H4 talking to NanoVNA Saver and NANOVNA on my tablet.
1.0.71 is an old version of firmware. Hugen has just released a new H4 version based on DiSlord firmware. Many, many new features. There are two versions SI and MS. SI is for original Skyworks clock chip and MS is for Chinese clone. If your unit was produced recently it may have the MS version and you will see an M on the label on the back of your unit. Link here >>

Unable to get the SD memory card to work. Memory chips are probably too new
and too large at 32 GB. My H4 platform is STM32F303xC Analog and DSP.
Not all SD cards work for reasons given in another post. I use a Kingston 32 GB SD card and it works fine.

Nick,
In the first two photos of message 29622, it appears that the NanoVNA is in Transform mode. Did you intend that? (Transform is an item in the Display menu.)

Before you start updating the firmware you should check that you can

Re: NanoVNA-H v3.6 vs NanoVNA-H4 v4.3 for SWR measurements

I've done that on the theory that the NVNA approximated the size and ground plane of a Baofeng HT. I was able to determine that the cheap tri-band whip sold by one of the recent names in the business is really only a dual band. the vendor has no clue what in the world I was talking about when I asked for test data. They couldn't put me in touch with anyone that wasn't reading talking points off a screen. I got a refund. Thanks, NanoVNA!
