Re: Greetings from a new user
Hello--
Given a clowder of? stray PCs currently running various operating systems (Linux Lite, 64-bit Windows 7, 32-bit Windows Vista,) can anyone recommend a step-by-step installation process for any operating system and any version of nanoVNA software? Helpful suggestions are appreciated! Thanks, and 73-- Brad? AA1IP |

Nice list. What was de S11 on all of these measurements? (S11 as SWR) Especially interested in the measurements where the loss in dB is more than 0.5 73, Arie PA3A Op 26-1-2021 om 00:56 schreef David Eckhardt: ERROR.......ERROR...........Wrong attachment.........Sorry. |
Re: CMC - I PROMISE FINAL.......FINAL.......NEW INFORMATION
For the finale (If it is possible), let nanoVNA be included in the "game" with chock baluns.. Too many people do not have access to professional VNAs and it would be interesting to show a chock balun of the measured, connected to the nano VNA and what sees H or H4 for example.
Including the steps on how to measure chocks with nanoVNA and get most important info as this in yours .docx files even with + / - 10% errors or a bit more will be great appreciated. Many Thanks for all Job done to You and all others !! Best Regards. |

Hello DiSlord,
Could you provide the link for the new firmware version (.bin) for Nanovna V2, please? I used NanoVNA-QT application to flash a .bin file on my Nanovna. Regards, Simone |

In order to make the DeFuse GUI better understandable, I created a version with better command labels. You can find it in thew forum's FILES section here: /g/nanovna-users/files/Miscellaneous Follow the instructions in the zipped file. ...Larry On Tuesday, January 26, 2021, 3:39:03 a.m. EST, Gyula Molnar <gyula.ha3hz@...> wrote:

Hi Ray,
Thank you for your feedback. I have the following version: It has 3 buttons on top instead of the rotatory switch. Once frozen, I tried to play with them as you suggested, both clicking than keeping them pressed but it did not work in either way. Can you provide more details on what you do to have it responsive again, please? Thank you, Simone |

The H4 works to about 1.5GHz, uses SMA connectors, a plastic box, and has a 4 inch screen. The SAA2N works to about 3GHz, uses N connectors, a metal box, and also has a 4 inch screen. The hardware designs are significantly different, and they use different firmware. Either one can work either standalone or with Windows 10 (and other) software. RANDL.com is a reasonable place to buy either if you are in the US. --John Gord On Mon, Jan 25, 2021 at 03:29 PM, Ken Davis wrote:

But when I press: Leave DFU mode, I get little little alarm window as you can see the picture with this messace. Analyzer display is nearly dark, see the picture. Any idea whats wrong? 73! Hopefully, this time, I get the intended file....... Try again and have a look at the attachment. I've added a fair amount of new information and measurements. CMC - I PROMISE FINAL.......FINAL.......NEW INFORMATION
OK, this is it. Please have a read of the attachment as there is some good
additional information including measurement of amplitude balance and phase behavior of the DM side of the CMCs. Now, please, can someone enlighten me on how to share this to more amateur radio operators by way of QRZ? My first attempt would not accept this format. Is it the image of the winding illustration? Any ideas, theories, thoughts, phases of the moon would be welcome. Dave - W?LEV PS: This is only a part of the hobby as I have the equipment and am retired and wanted to share with others. |
Can anyone tell me the basic differences between these two devices. I mainly want to know which one would best suit me as a ham operator building wire antennas. I have watched numerous YT videos and I have not found one on the SAA2N which leads me to think it might be for a more advanced user. Also I am not sure if either of the software programs will run on Windows 10?
Thanks in advance Ken W0KRD |
Re: MORE CMC SINGLE CORE DATA
Manfred,
Re: There are always those snakes who will seek to take advantage of people's ignorance. If boosting their victims self esteem by feeding them wive's tails and simple explanations that serve their purpose they will readily do so. You asked: "Are you maybe thinking about clever businessmen who sell $1000 copper-free, super-low-distortion power cables to HiFi fans? Or were you thinking about companies that sell $300 professional, ultra wide frequency response microphones to hams, to be used for SSB transmission? :-)" High end gear for low end applications doesn't bother so much. I was thinking more of lossy folded antennas made of rotator control cable, promoting the G5RV as equally effective on all bands, the low loss of using OWL totally makes up for a badly mismatched antenna system, etc, etc. And my favorite, diplexer = duplexer. Of course, we could talk all day about audiophools and oxygen free copper speaker cable. |
