Check your device menu - Tap STORAGE, in the list should be S1P & S2P. My 'older' version 2.2 machine with firmware v.0.2.1 has them. Check the page at https://radioamateur.us/nanovna-f-firmware/ for

That is device dependent, most newer devices can provide power over USB. My nano works without issues on a Nexus 7 tablet that is 8 years old by now.
