Re: SAA2N reviews

OwO's official stores are on Taobao and Tindie. This group provides support for all V2 variants so OWO started another group that supports only the original V2 at /g/NanoVNAV2/ . You might ask about shipping to Serbia at that group, especially if you are intending on purchasing the original V2. -Herb |

The behaviour shown looks quite believable to me. One can show that the mutual impedance between dipoles follows a similar pattern. The formula is fairly complicated (more than I would want to put in email), but it includes either sine or cosine integrals (perhaps both), which shows a similar behaviour Note that the mutual impedance has both a real and imaginary part. I would expect not only the real part of the impedance to show this, but also the imaginary part. Dave --Dr. David Kirkby, Kirkby Microwave Ltd, drkirkby@... I sent a message a while back asking why there is no shipping option for Serbia, when all surrounding countries are supported, and got no reply. Unless you are using NATO planes (only difference between Serbia and neighbouring countries) to deliver packages I see no reason why. On Wed, 2 Sep 2020 at 15:29, Hugen <hugen@...> wrote:

Re: SAA2N reviews ??
S-A-A-2 is a new design and not based on the original NanoVNA:

It was open source which means there are many "clones" and variants on the market. Most of the clones perform fine, so you will be well served buying any random one on Aliexpress or Banggood. However if you want to support the original developers, only the stores listed on the above page will do that. On 02/09/2020 22:44, Mike Rhodes wrote:

Greetings,
I am new to this group and totally unfamiliar with the nomenclature for the various models of NanoVNA. With that in mind, what, if any, is the difference between NanoVNA (including H4) and SAA2N ? I have an FA-VA5 and it works fine but there is hardly any activity on their reflector while this group seems to be very active so, here I am. Thanks, Mike / W8DN |

I suggest you join /g/NanoVNA-V2 You will find more specific information regarding the SAA2 and their variants. Also some reviews about SAA2N. Cheers, Lu¨ªs CT2FZI A quarta, 2/09/2020, 06:08, Hugo <ve2_ugo@...> escreveu: So, you were able to test the 4 inch version with N connector and it has a |

First things first. Hugen does not sell on Tindie. One cannot compare nanoVNA-H with SAA2 firmware. What you said is not 100% correct, and it's user misunderstanding about the tool itself. V2 holds calibration and saves it. If you change frequencies either you recall again calibration or do calibration again. That is from OwO SW feature. I agree with it up to the point it reminds user that it's using different calibration for the frequency span. This feature was discussed already many times. About the display... I cannot understand who wants to use the display if nanovna-saver exponentially enhances the usability, including the saving of infinite calibration scenarios? ;) A quarta, 2/09/2020, 13:05, <aleks07111971@...> escreveu: This microbe has two problems! |

Disable calibration (or reset)
You see noise after? if no - wrong calibration. If yes another problem (possibly hardware) |
