Re: New NanoVNA-H software, different SWR at 70cm
Try re-installing the older 0.4.5-4 version again, and re-run and see if it goes back to the old #'s.... That would help rule in/out the new version has an issue. -- Regards, Chris K2STP

I agree! Kudos and thanks to Barry for this useful discussion of antennas. My proposition: by the physical principle of conservation of energy can we say that the problem is to get energy out of the

Excellent, Barry! This is the sort of thing the younger crowd eats up. But, I'm an old fossil and I think I got 100%. Good work. I always ask the question: "Does an antenna need to be resonant to

I was curious, because in general, the tests do not require memorizing of specific numbers (except for a few regulatory questions). A quick "grep" of the question pools says that "468" does not appear

Antenna QUIZ (to help interpret NANO VNA graphs) de k3eui Barry
As I taught Zoom sessions on the Nano VNA, I realized that there are many misconceptions about antennas, feed lines, and impedance and SWR. So here is a True/False set of 20 questions to look over. If

Dave, That's when you try to use the same thick wire. You can make a pretty good 50? balanced line by twisting together 4 relatively thin wires with teflon insulation, and interconnecting the

Re: UPDATE to DM LOSS MEASEREMENT
It's surprisingly easy when you do it on one core but yes, you sacrifice the available space and 160 is tricky, unless you are using a huge core.

Re: UPDATE to DM LOSS MEASEREMENT
True, but then I don't get enough turns on the toroids for 160-meters. And the thought of matching two CMCs to parallel, each with 100-ohm lines on them, does not sound trivial, but could be done.
