Re: Help! My NanoVNA bricked after a firmware update! #firmware
As Larry says, the VNA is either in DFU mode OR normal USB serial mode, not both at the same time. So while the VNA is in DFU mode it has no comport to be seen by the PC, the comport will return once

Re: SWR measurement of CB antenna with PL-259 #newbie
Do not use hard SMA to SO-239 adapters, use short cable (RG-316) adapters, to reduce strain on the Nano's connectors. They are widely available as RTL-SDR accessories. Get three PL-259 to SMA-F

Re: Help! My NanoVNA bricked after a firmware update! #firmware
Ross, Welcome to the forum. Please remember, you can only use nanovna-H4 firmware on an H4 with the 4 inch display and H firmware on anything that is either a Nanovna-H or just Nanovna, with the 2.8

Indeed TOP Software I would like this software to work for my SAA-V2 up to 3 Ghz @OneOfEleven, could you consider this ? JP

Re: SOLT Error Theory #calibration
Christian, thanks very much for the clear explanation. I just took a look at your math over my morning coffee, and it looks good to me. And when I tried my hand at signal-flow graph reduction I

Re: SWR measurement of CB antenna with PL-259 #newbie
Please don't do that. These small cables are needed for calibration and to relieve stresses on the board mounted tiny connectors. you can use a female SMA to female PL259 adapter to connect the

No(*). Others have already brought up kibibytes etc., so I¡¯ll not repeat that here. Except maybe saying that this has been the way it is done for about two decades now; you might want to get used

Re: SWR measurement of CB antenna with PL-259 #newbie
Well, in that case, the only way "I" can see to make your tests is to sacrifice one of the cables that came with the NanoVNA and cut off one of its connectors. Strip the new end of the cable and inch

It is actually Kibyte. The ¡°i¡± is used to indicate powers of 2.

Re: Help! My NanoVNA bricked after a firmware update! #firmware
Hi All, I'm new to the NanoVNA too (but fortunately not to microcontrollers) and also managed to 'brick' mine and get the "white screen of death". As one does I had a look around, came across

Re: Proper way to measure cable length
One shouldn¡¯t need a VNA to find an antenna fault. I have just used (since 1960) an ohm meter across the leads to do a baseline check for shorts before I install any antenna. The most difficult

As it turns out, the equations do not become as unwieldy as I had feared, if you consider a non-ideal through that can have losses and delay (S21thru ¡Ù 1, S12thru ¡Ù 1) but that does not have any

The main problem as said , is the mechanical weakness of SMA connectors. First I've fastened vna with SMA-N adapter to an aluminium frame for mechanical stability (good for field operations). Next,
