This is a mechanical error that occurred during the production of the first series.
Because the downtime was very long, the manufacturer was not able to make the conversion. If I could recommend it, you might want to add some helpful information to your merchant kit. Anyone who has received the new product will not be able to handle the problem with confidence. There is always an exception. So if the redesign is not workable, then it is advisable to include help information along with the shipment, what is the solution to repairing the malfunction. This is just a suggestion - I just suggest the opportunity. - If only the USB connector does not fit in place: /g/nanovna-users/message/10333 - If the login screen freezes or there is no menu screen when turned on: /g/nanovna-users/message/10369 and /g/nanovna-users/message/10498 may be the solution. 73, Gyula HA3HZ |
Sorry, some deformations of the structural parts have caused the touch screen to not work. We are making some modifications to the structural parts, and we expect that we can solve these problems in April. You can temporarily modify it as suggested by Gyula Molnar. If you have any other questions, please contact us at any time, and we will fix it as soon as possible.

Hi Lawrence,
glad you got the -H4. Since yours can come from a prototype, I think similar to mine. I received it at the end of January, among the first. What I encountered was posted in the forum on how to fix it. I think you can have the same error, mechanical, too. I'm looking for fixes: /g/nanovna-users/message/10498 /g/nanovna-users/message/10333 Hope these messages help you too. 73, Gyula HA3HZ |

Sorry to hear about the problems. If you can get into the touchscreen calibration mode, please recal the touch surface as that can solve some of your posted issues. The jog switch does leave much to be desired though and many have complained about it. As for mounting in the case, try one side at a time to see which affects operation. Good luck! Probably as balun to provide the bridge with balanced input or to convert the bridge balance to the reflection receiver

I just downloaded your version 2.02 March 2020 english PDF and there is no difference on slide 25 from the Dec 2019 PDF. It still shows: NODE = highest z or maximum voltage ANTINODE = lowest z or minimum voltage Regards, Larry On Thursday, March 12, 2020, 4:13:41 a.m. GMT-4, Luc ON7DQ <on7dq@...> wrote:
There was still a small error in slide 25 in the English version. The drawing was correct, but in the text I mixed up the meaning of NODE and ANTINODE. Now corrected, without changing the version number. Thanks to Hans DJ7BA for finding it. 73, Luc ON7DQ |
Re: Calibration with nanovna saver(PC)
#calibration
I think that calibrating with the nanoVNA saver is better, because you can divide the frequency span in segments so you can have a lot more that 101 points hence a more precise calibration. Also nanoVNA saver uses its own calibration files, which should be loaded manually. Probably the calibration stored in the equipment is not used (I am not sure about it).

Also you can store infinite (almost) number of calibrations and you can use the most adequate for the frequency range and the cables (the reference plane) used. The calibration sets are named, so if you define the names to be self explanatory you can avoid to repeat it later. Ignacio, EB4APL El 12/03/2020 a las 12:59, Praba Karan escribi¨®:

That ferrite is before the input though... this seems to be after it.

Hmm... interested to know what's going on with the void in the PCB. Likely to do with the directional bridge, but what?

There is almost no difference in the amount of commenting between the various nanoVNA branches.
You can easily do on github a comparison between branches to find out. But all are fairly easy to understand -- NanoVNA Wiki: /g/nanovna-users/wiki/home NanoVNA Files: /g/nanovna-users/files Erik, PD0EK |
