Harbor freight used to sell cheap magnetic bases with fine adjustment arms like the one in the attached photo. If you add the arm to the vertical arm in the TomTop tool and put a long wooden skewer in the clamp at the end of the arm, you now have a wooden finger to hold down SMT parts while you solder them.
