All of my antennas have a static discharge at the feed point. I would recommend them.

Yes, grounding the antenna to discharge static before making
measurements is essential, but a protection network will provide
insurance against accidents and errors that can easily occur to the most
methodical of us. NanoVNA/TinySA will be used for work on other devices,
not just antennas. For instance: TinySA for aligning valve radios.
