Using Linux CLI dfu-util question.

Andy 'FTD

Greetings !

I have been sitting on the sidelines collecting information and sorting out what is useful to me etc.

At some point I suppose there will come a time when I have a go at reflashing the firmware for
something new and whizzbang.

I was made aware (by a kind Italian) of dfu-util, a Linux command line program.

As I understand it, I would use it like this with this command - "dfu-util -a 0 -D your-firmware-file.dfu"

But, in another thread I am seeing reference to requiring some device ID number being attached to the command line.

My very brief review of the limited information available says that you only need this if you have multiple devices
connected, and wish to specify an individual device. If only one device is connected, the dfu-util will write or read from it
without any special pointers.

So, would my command line outlined above be correct, or have I got to add some magic ID code into it ?
