When ordering from aliexpress be sure to read what is included. A lot of the units do not have batteries installed. Look for the following statement, "Batteries are not included due to the safety of international transportation. But we ordered IC power management, you can weld your own batteries. Or use other power sources, such as power bank, to power it through the USB interface."
Some U.S. sellers also have the above statement in their ads.
