Richard, I might be onto something here for you.
I tried to upload manually the NanoVNA-H420210131.dfu.
After flashing this version and rebooting my NanoVNA, my screen was white still.....!!
And stayed white.
Then i reflashed the device with the latest firmware version and heypresto, the screen came back to normal..
Worth a try.
