I would also like to do the same with marine antenna's, which all come with a hard wired feed-line with a set length (15' or 30' for example). So you can't calibrate at the antenna, so what do you do in this case?
What counts is the impedance present at the transceiver antenna jack.
You do the measurements WITH the uncalibrated cable connected.
Calibrating the anenna alone is a nice game,
but actually it is next to useless.
