Reading the document it's not clear that at step 7 the command

(nvna-s2) nick@LM19-3:~/.venv/nvna-s2$ curl | python

should all be on one line. But I don't think that's the problem.

Your error message looks like you cannot access the server?

I just tested step 7; here's what I get...
