Existing plastic boxes should be rework. I think the best solution would be to increase the bolts' towers by 0.5mm, which can be glued with 4 plastic washers.
But any other distance can be a solution.
For example, a single-sided film glued to pcb, which raises 0.5 mm.
When I worked at QAM, we ensured the quality of the incoming and outgoing products. There was also an opportunity to solve the problem.
So life doesn't stop, we just see the world differently.
