At the January NABRC meeting, I mentioned that the Nancy Carson library's on-line records system indicated that the ARRL Ham Radio license study guides were perhaps obsolete because their publication dates were MANY years ago.
I went to the library today and verified that the copies on the shelf are very old. There are two study guides there - one tech and one general. The general states that it is applicable from 7/1/2007 until 6/30/2011. The Tech one says "starting 7/1/2006"
Both books had stickers inside noting that they were donated by NABRC.
Perhaps when we donate the next batch of books we should emphasize that they are replacements, not just additional copies of that same title already on their shelves. It may be possible that the clerk mistakenly discards them since they already have copies with that title.
?Also: The on-line records system lists very old versions at the Aiken County Public Library and the Midland Valley Branch shows no Amateur Radio books at all.
