Hi Bill NE4RD!

Test successful.

I will be at WSJ2019 with the SCUBA folks, but I will certainly have an HT with me and check in whenever I am able.

Brent AD9A

Welcome Brent and others that have joined today.? Great, I can't wait to meet you in person at the event next year!

If you all want to introduce yourselves when you get a moment, please let us know who you are, where you're located, and how you think you can help out the World Jamboree 2019 Amateur Radio operations.? I'll have complete information in a follow-up post when we get some more traction in the group with specifics.? I'll also be looking for a coordinator that will be off-site for the event to keep the flow of activity going here and on the air during the event.

Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you all!

Hi everyone,?

Kevin Ong here. I will be there for 2019wsj if everything goes smoothly. Still haven¡¯t got my offer for IST. Will definitely be bringing a HT there.?

Regards?
Kevin 9M2KEV/N2KEV?

Hi folks,

This is JE3PPG, Moriya Kajiki from Japan.

I am a 2019wsj IST, but there is no information from my NSO about IST positioning.

Hoping to have many eyeball QSOs in the venue.

Jim Wilson

Kevin,

We are watching for your IST application in the staff recruiting system. It's not there yet as most National Scouting Organizations, including Malaysia, have not yet submitted their lists of IST. The update this morning is that only 18 countries out of 160 have provided their IST lists.?

So please be patient. We will definitely do all we can to sign you up for the amateur radio operation, NA1WJ.

Team Leader, NA1WJ

Hi Moriya,

As I replyed to Kevin, we do not yet have the listing of IST from Japan -- and many more countries as well. That's the first step in selected IST and issuing position offers. As soon as I see anything here, I will issue the offer and let you know directly.

Thanks for offering to serve on IST at the amateur radio operation, NA1WJ.

From what I discuss with my contigent secretary. He has registered and approve all IST registration and application. The last I remembered he put in my registration and application around 19 may. The wierd part is he was asking me if I have receive any updates on my IST application. I will try and ask him again when we meet up for a contigent meeting on the 6 Oct. thanks for the reply again.?
?
Regards?

Jim Wilson

Here's the list I received this morning of those NSOs who have provided their IST listing:

???Austria Pfadfinder und Pfadfinderinnen ?sterreichs
???Brazil Uni?o dos Escoteiros do Brasil
???Chile Asociaci¨®n de Gu¨ªas y Scouts de Chile
???Costa Rica Asociaci¨®n de Gu¨ªas y Scouts de Costa Rica
???Croatia The Scout Association of Croatia
???Cyprus Cyprus Scouts Association
???Denmark The Danish Scout Council
???Ecuador Asociaci¨®n de Scouts del Ecuador
???Finland The Guides and Scouts of Finland
???Ireland Scouting Ireland
???Mexico Asociaci¨®n de Scouts de M¨¦xico
???Netherlands Scouting Nederland
???Peru Asociaci¨®n de Scouts del Per¨²
???Portugal Federa??o Escutista de Portugal
???Spain Federaci¨®n de Escultismo en Espa?a
???Switzerland Swiss Guide and Scout Movement
???United Kingdom The Scout Association
???United States of America Boy Scouts of America

Even so, I have a couple of hams in the UK and can't find their listing yet. The leadership team is now projecting that most IST lists will be uploaded in October and November. But in August they said September would see lots of lists. Oh well. We will get there one of these days.

Hello and Welcome!

I'm Gary Wilson, K2GW. ? I served on the Amateur Radio Staff at the Summit in 2017 and will again at the WSJ in 2019. ?

One thing we'd like all hams visiting the Summit (whether on the Amateur Radio staff or not) to bring is an HT, ideally 2m/440.? We blessed (thanks to Icom and AT&T!) with three permanent Amateur Radio repeaters on the property.? We use these for Amateur Radio demos when HF propagation fails, for nightly nets between the subcamps, for any emergencies, and for fun.

While we'll try to provide programming help at NA1WJ, it would be helpful if you program your HT with the Summit repeater frequencies before leaving home.? The Summit repeater frequencies are listed below and more info can be found at ??

Hi to all. I'm Ronan PY2RAR from Brazil. I'll be giving my support to your contacts during World Scout Jamboree in USA in all bands, phone, digital and also Echolink. I guess we'll have some Brazilians taking part of the station team, so I'll try to help them to contact their Country. I'm also on your disposition.?

Good day to all, my name is Sigfrido Rodas, my indicative TG9SRP, I greet you from Guatemala, in Central America.

I am enlisting to be able to support in what was necessary, today I get in touch with the national scout office to coordinate efforts in the participation of Guatemala in the 2019 World Scout Jamboree.

Initially I think we can participate in HF with a station located in the national scout office, be connected via EchoLink and possibly via DMR.

As soon as we have some additional details about our support and participation in this event we will let you know. We are very excited to be able to collaborate so that the scouts know more about our hobbie.
