Hi all,
I¡¯m on vacation in Florida and today was a ¡°down day¡± from the parks and beaches, so I decided to buy the Flex ¡°SmartSDR¡± software for iOS ($64) and try to get it working with the club remote station. It took a bit of work, primarily because I can¡¯t change the MTU aka frame size on the network (since we¡¯re at a condo and I can¡¯t change the MTU on the iPad). I wound up using a VPN tunnel back to my house, where I have the MTU set correctly, and it worked. At any rate, I have been out playing on FT8 and I¡¯ve also monitored a number of SSB conversations. When I get a little more time, I¡¯ll put my AirPods on and will see if I can get a phone QSO going.? Pretty cool stuff.
