Re: Open class training in Feb.
I think Eoghan can do both so happy to go for whichever suits most people - he can only do one though. He would need either a helm or a crew if Ben isn't going. Becci On Thu, 24 Jan 2019, 20:25 Bear <david@... wrote:

Re: Open class training in Feb.
Should have added cost will be ?40 per sailor for the weekend.? For any folk not joining 29er class association there will be an extra ?15 per weekend for temporary membership.? We use the class insurance to cover these events, which covers your employers liability insurance for the coaches as well, and they've also given us a lot of support as well so we'd really encourage everyone to join as full members.? I'll email round about how to join up separately.??

Open class training in Feb.
开云体育Hi all, Trying to get at least
one and hopefully two weekends class training with Anna sorted
out in Feb.? 23/24th? RTYC? Pretty sure this one will go ahead so just checking to see if enough folk.? I know it clashes with a topper event though. Also hoping to perhaps do one on the 16/17th at RTYC as well and will know about this by this weekend. Can folk let me know
if they're up for either weekend and if we can get three boats
for either I'll set it up. I know Maisie can't do either, Suzie keen to crew so if anyone needs a crew get in touch with her. Cheers Bear |
Re: Urggent - anyone wanting to take up this house for the Largs GP.
Sorry should also have said plan is to offer 2 day academy on the Friday and Saturday or just one day on Saturday for those that can't make Friday. Gillies is leading coaching and it's going to be a? ryas academy.? Racing starts early doors Sunday and finishes hopefully early on Monday so folk can get away.? Just waiting for the academy to be set up for booking and then I'll do a flyer.? B.? On Mon, 21 Jan 2019, 13:19 David Sturrock <david@... wrote:

Urggent - anyone wanting to take up this house for the Largs GP.
开云体育Hi all, I'd half reserved a house in Largs for the Largs academy and GP.? Thursday night to SUnday night.? I'm not going to take it up, I'll stay with pals instead but does anyone else want it?? I said I'd get back to him by tonight, forgot last week so he'd needing a very quick answer. It would hold 4 sailors and couple of sets of parents with beds to spare.? Dated inside but it's fine. I booked it for Anna, Niamh, Bella and some other youths to stay in for Youths last year so it was party central, amazingly he's renting it to me again.? Mairi stayed in it as well briefly and said it was fine. Cheers Bear If anyone wants they'd need to let me know tonight and I'd forward booking. Copied in Robbie, I
assume you're staying in nice new Winnabego but just in case
it's of interest.

Hi all.??
Sorry meant to email round a couple of days ago.? Plan for Saturday at the Tay is morning sail from 9:30 to 11:30 on the water, dart fleet is out then so we've rescue cover.? Suzie/Tom Irvine and Eoghan/pal are heading out if anyone else keen??
I know Colin's having a weekend off.?
Sunday. Suzie and Maise keen but they're only takers just now. Anyone else?? Suzie's using class boat because hers was left at the bay for Anna and Niamh to sail this weekend although that's just been canned. Aghhh.? I'll see if any of the 4000s
going out as well to make numbers up.

DBSC
Hi all.? Just to let folk know the galley at dbsc are doing breakfasts and lunches for those sailors that want some hot food this weekend. Also for the keen beans remember to sign up for profiling by Sunday night. Abbie's going to be there first thing on Saturday dropping ribs off so can answer any questions about it.? Bear. |
29er Training Sails
Some info got before Xmas from Matt at Ratsey.? I know couple of you talked about training jibs.? Colin bought white dacron for ?230.? Suspect it's more robust - and cheaper - but thought I'd p[ass this on. Pics to follow. David asking re training kites reminded me. B. Hi Bear - This is a copy of the SMS I have sent you.... Thanks for the message. Yes I have the black laminate training jibs and also training kites. The Jibs are ?290 inc VAT and the Kites are ?400 inc VAT. Kites are available in Red and Blue only. I will check stock today but I am fairly sure I have at least 3 jibs and 5+ kites. If you manage to get multiple orders then I would be prepared to offer a 10% discount on a group purchase. Shipping is on top of this but if we ship to one consoladated address for a group order then I will throw in shipping cost.? The Jibs are really good…my boy has been using one since we brought them out 2 years ago and they are far more durable and suitable for training without any noticeable loss in performance. The Kites are also just as good but less than half the price of an Ovington one and as you will know the issue when you have an old kite for training is that it loses its finish meaning it easily wraps or wineglasses when you gybe…which when you are learning often leads to other things (such as capsize!)…. Hope this helps, do let me know if i can help further? Best regards Matthew Matthew Ratsey 07970 651660 01503 250851 |
Re: 5/6th January - class training?
开云体育Richard, it just
looked like a really good forecast, well apart from temperature,
so just thought I'd ask folk on off chance becasue I could run a
couple of very cheap short days at Tay given Anna at home just
now.? With three it would have broken even so no cost to class,
the reason for calling it class training is so that everyone
gets insured via national class.? If parents pay a coach direct
they become their employer for the day, if they injure
themseleves at work they can sue you! I'll see if I can pin Anna down re any other weekends in Feb and March and see if we can get anything set up before into new grant year.? Unfortunatley LLSC (and to a lesser extent Craig) have increased their costs substantially from last year and so we'll loose a lot going there.? If anyone's got any other options let me know. Hope study leave going
well!!? Suzie making most of her couple of years of exam free
life.? Cracking day on Tay today. Bear On 02/01/2019 08:37, Richard Coombs
