…what my tire pressure is?

There may be no easy way to solve my issue, but I’ll throw it out there. Been using Apple’s Mail for ever and ever. Over the years, I have created ‘folders’ to move email into and save for whatever reason. Now I have folders full of different out-dated receipts, dead web links, and more useless info than a junk drawer in my kitchen. I guess I just have to take a folder a day and click through each email and save or toss. Anyone one have a magic spell or a technique to help clean these up? Thanks Bill M.

In the latest Apple Watch OS the nerds at Apple have decided something was missing in the Timers App. They have included 13 preset timers (AKA Pinned Timers) that cannot be removed. And those Pinned timers appear at the top of any timers I have set up on my own so if I want to use one of my timers I have to scroll all the way past Apples Pinned Timers to get to the timers I set up to use with my workouts. So I have gone to “apple.com/feedbac <http://apple.com/feedbac>” and registered my complaint with Apple, though, unless a gazillion Apple Watch Users make the same complaint, Apple probably won’t fix the issue. So I have a Christmas mystery maybe someone in the group can solve. I used my iPhone to take family photos on Christmas. The first few were taken using the timer function on my Apple Watch with the phone on a tripod so I could be in the pictures too. The rest were taken as normal with the phone. All the photos appear on my phone, but I wanted to see them on a larger screen so was using my iPad and noticed the pictures using the timer function are missing on my iPad. I figured that was just a synching issue there, so I went into my iCloud account using the browser on my desktop computer and they aren't there either. They only appear on my phone. All the other photos I took before and after those are there. Thought it was odd that only the photos using the timer function are missing. Anyone have any idea why? Thanks!

I use ApplePay several times a day, if a site doesn't offer ApplePay I use the Virtual card number associated with my Apple Cash card. This past week my wife wanted to try some gummy's to help neuropathy but from walking through the process I felt something wasn't right. When I got ready to pay & this time used the Apple Virtual number I was immediately told it was a fraudulent site, a scam & not only did the payment not go through the site was immediately deleted from my device. Try to use this on sites that don't offer ApplePay & see if Apple protects you as it did me. Also I'm not leaving my card info at numerous sites that can be hacked. John.

I recently upgraded my phone to iOS 18.1.1. I also am a heavy user of Reminders. One of the "non-improvements” apple added to this latest iOS is that reminders show up in the calendar. It is annoying as as annoying can be. I called Apple and they said there is no way to turn that feature off. However the person I talked to created a ticket. Right now it is at level 3 and as people call in to complain about the issue they add those complaints to the ticket. As they add complainants to the ticket it will increase the ticket to level 2 and eventually (if enough people complain) it will reach level 1. If that happens the complaint goes to the engineers who hopefully will provide a fix. So I am asking all my friends who have iOS 18 to call apple and complain. (Call even if you don’t use reminders). If you do use reminders and like that the reminders show up in calendar then follow your heart. If you do call then you will have my undying gratitude. Has anyone installed iOS 18? Why do you think of it?

This is not Mac-related, but I have a brand-new Dell laptop battery for sale if anyone can use it. Purchased it for my husband's PC. Wanted to back up his hard drive before I took the computer apart to replace the battery. Procrastinator that I am, by the time I figured out how to back up the hard drive, the hard drive died and we ended up buying him a new computer. So this was never used and no longer needed. On Pages, for example, all Keyboard shortcuts are grayed out. I've gone to Sys. Settings-Keyboard- Restore Default on various options, but still no activated K. S. on Pages. What did I do wrong? OS 13.7 Mac Mini

On my Macintosh I created a second user to be able to test stuff. PIA is enabled but it says it is connecting through Indianapolis Yet when I open a browser window I get a message in Romanian. When I log on to google it thinks I am in Romania and wants to know if that’s okay. In my primary user account this doesn’t happen? Should I delete this second user?

I currently use A2 Webhosting for my website. In 2021 I paid $215.00 for three years. Today they want over $700.00 for three years - a little more than 3 and 1/2 times the amount from three years ago. Can anyone recommend a less expensive web host for me? Thanks. Harry

Hey folks, I've been having real trouble with Apple's mail of late. * I wrote two emails, and sent them. Despite having left my laptop open, the emails never got sent after their 'Undo send delay'. In fact, when I poked around in Mail.app more carefully 2 days later, both were stuck in Outbox > Scheduled. Neither could be sent, either by opening them and sending them, or by dragging them to drafts and then sending. So... I had to copy and paste their contents and resend them. * I wrote a very long, possibly contentious email, and saved it as a draft (which is what I do whenever an email needs extra care). The next day, the draft was gone, so I had to rewrite the email. * I could not find the confirmation email for a bus ticket I bought last month. I had to have had the original email at some point, since I already used one half of the round trip. It was not in my trash, though other emails from the same day were happily in the trash. I called to get it resent. It never arrived. So I got the bus company to send it through an email forwarding address from my alma mater. It arrived. What would cause instability like this? Is it because I have waaaaaay too many emails I still drag around? It could be dementia starting to set in, too, but before jumping to that conclusion, I'm wondering what I could do to try and fix something more mechanical. Thanks for any info or ideas, Bill

Hi all, I've run into a problem at home, where my iPhone suddenly will start downloading at less than 1 Mbps instead of the usual ~90 Mbps, and upload at ~30 Mbps instead of the usual ~90 Mpbs. My laptop will still be uploading and downloading full speed at the same location as the phone. Neither restarting my iPhone, nor turning of private relay fixed the problem, but power cycling the router has fixed the problem 2 out of 2 times, so it seems that the problem is with the router (or with something my iPhone is doing to the router's memory). What would cause this? Bill
