Happy Thanksgiving!

Hope everyone has a great holiday this week.

Here¡¯s a little blast from the past. I totally forgot about this, but a friend reminded me that it still exists. A lot of us used to use this all the time:

Enjoy!

Surely there are folk on here that use iOS 17 and/or iPadOS 17. I can¡¯t find a mailing list for that iteration of iOS for information sharing like this one for Mac OS - Locally.

Is there any interest in having an old time face to face meetup to chat about Apple, Macs, iOS etc? Exchange some tips and ideas, uses and abuses that we find helpful. If there is any interest I would be willing to make arrangements for it.

Drop me a line here or at my address below.

Re: I know, I know

Hey, Richard,

As you well know, we discuss all things Apple, and then some. Most of us use iOS 17 as that is what all the autoupdates have brought us to. Do you have a question about personal experiences or preferences?

Technical information can be found online as well as a lot of tips and tricks and general feature information about pretty much any iteration of Apple¡¯s mobile OS.

Ask your question. I¡¯m sure more than a few of us can answer it, or point you to a good resource about it.

I wouldn¡¯t call this strictly a Mac group. We are pretty much Apple folks.?

I would be interested in a meeting just like the old days.?

Somebody might bring a Newton.?

Yeah, bogus. People can put anything they want on a webpage. Nothing to worry about. You did the right thing.

Re: Apple One Family Sharing

Hi Wyman,

The single credit card requirement shouldn't be a problem for us. It's just the 2 of us and hubby is pretty good about checking before he makes major purchases. (Mostly) ?
We are still looking into it, mainly because I just haven't had time to sit down and get everything updated and ready to make the transition. Need a few more hours in the day.

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it.?

Re: Apple One Family Sharing

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

I have been using Apple One since its inception with Family Sharing, and I really enjoy it. Keep in mind that there is one credit card on file... So all purchases go on that credit card. For instance when my son wants to buy an app, it goes on my card. When my ex-wife wanted to do a Yoga app that costs $69.00 a month¡that also went on my card ?? The accounts are not ¡°blended¡± in any way¡but each ¡°purchase" that each participant has purchased in the past is sharable between all Family members. Movies/Music/Apps/Some subscriptions. Etc. Hope that helps

Hello everyone,
Been doing a little research as we try to consolidate services and cut back on expenses. My husband and I have been using iCloud+ storage, Apple TV and Apple Music under separate iCloud accounts. In doing the math, it may save us a few pennies and give us a boatload more storage going with the Apple One Premium plan. Most likely I will set my account as the main account and then invite him to join. Just curious if anyone in the group is using Apple One and Family Sharing and what you like/don't like about it before we take the plunge. It's just the 2 of us that would be utilizing the service.
Thanks!
