Dan,
This made my day. I haven¡¯t laughed so hard in a while!
Thanks.

Harry,

Don¡¯t believe a word of it. There¡¯s actually a little guy with a pressure gauge who lives in the rim of your tire (well, actually four of them since you have four tires). They monitor the tire pressure every 10 seconds ¡ª it¡¯s a thankless job ¡ª and report any anomalies to the slightly bigger guy who lives behind your dashboard, who activates a warning message if he thinks it¡¯s warranted.

The reason the tires are so expensive to replace is that they have to pay a rather exorbitant severance fee to each little guy that gets displaced when the new tire is installed. To make matters worse they have a DEI policy that forces them to hire some guagers that aren¡¯t always the most competent. But that¡¯s another story, and I¡¯m pretty sure President Trusk is going to take care of it soon.

?Thanks John.
Does it send it wirelessly? Or is the sensor connected by wires and permanently installed in the rim?

Harry, there is a valve stem with a sensor that reads the pressure & sends it to your car computer.

Sorta expensive to replace one but they are invaluable.
