Lee, thanks. I don¡¯t have a bluetooth TV or Roku or Apple TV. As far as I know the only way for me to connect my iPad to the TV is with an HDMI cable. My TV does have wifi as does my TiVo. Can I stream wirelessly through wifi? If so, how?

I am trying to stream from my iPad to my TV. There is a show on Peacock I want to see.I have connected and HDMI cable to my TV and I have the dongle that plugs into my iPad and the HDMI cable and a power cord plug into the dongle.
However when I start the show on the iPad the sound goes to the TV but the picture does not.On the iPad it indicates I am connected by AirPlay but I am not sure what that means.
The problem might be the HDMI connection. There are restrictions built into HDMI to stop video piracy. I stream video to the teevee box all the time from iPhone/iPad, but I do it wirelessly via Airplay to my Roku box.
