However when I start the show on the iPad the sound goes to the TV but the picture does not.On the iPad it indicates I am connected by AirPlay but I am not sure what that means.?
The problem might be the HDMI connection. There are restrictions built into HDMI to stop video piracy. I stream video to the teevee box all the time from iPhone/iPad, but I do it wirelessly via Airplay to my Roku box.
