The big problem with TiVo is that spectrum. Is slowly changing their broadcast system across the US. From QOM signal to an IP signal. Several threads on the TiVo users forum.

Wanting to see when this happens here. Will probably go to Channels on the AppleTV and outdoor antenna.
Dropping cable.

?Just want to let you know I needed to replace the fan in my TiVo Roam. I ordered a new fan from Weaknees.com on a Wednesday and it arrived the following Monday. Included in the package were three Torx drivers of varying sizes and a url to a video showing how to replace the fan.

The video was very helpful and easy to follow. The only problems I had were these:

1. Once the external screws were removed it was tricky getting the top off the box - it wasn¡¯t tricky in the video.
2. The Torx drivers were too short to get enough leverage to remove some of the internal screws. Fortunately I had some of my own that worked.

The whole process took about 1/2 hour and the new fan is very quiet.

I would recommend Weaknees if you have to replace your TiVo fan or hard drive.
