Locked An unsuccessful loop experiment

It seems that I? m missing something Any ideas?
Please PM me .
Thanks!

Forget pm..

Info maybe of use to others..

What you trying to do??

For quick and dirty Moebius loop connection at the top, see this video:

The chapter starting at 2:42 shows how to make it. Not a weather resistant connection, but ok for experiments.
Yes, without the balun/transformer at the bottom (feedpoint) it is not a proper Youloop and does not null the interference at all.
I made a few variants of this loop, it worked ok for me. Not as good as an active one, but it does have some null up to about 4-5MHz, so can get rid of the worst source of interference.
A bigger diameter helps quite a bit. 1m is not enough. If you can make even 1.5m, there is a big difference in terms of signal strength.

I? keep the subscription but turned off emails
I? receive more than 200 per day

The question is simple
I m missing something? I have read? a lot of info via the swling page? for the Youloop /moebius antenna? plus what is googled prior to build this
That's? more an 10 web pages

1. one? of the possible faults is that i connected the two shields of the cable so that the coax can directly connect into a terminal
good or wrong?
1a. using a RG6 cable
2. no difference adding the ring torroid
3 . Shield was not conencted anywhere
and finally full of spursin any way

Maybe, maybe not...

Personally I think the Youloop is a good example of marketing hype over substance, where a 'special' feature is publicised in order to make a product stand out from the rest of the crowd.

Of course it doesn't actually need to work in order to achieve this goal, but most folks (myself included) do have a tendency to believe products claimed benefits, unless it's easy to prove otherwise.

I've compared the Moebius loop against other types, and I've concluded that it doesn't seem to offer any advantages over a more conventional single loop, but that's just my observation and your mileage may vary.

Regards,

Martin

Sorry I forgot to provide a link to my Moebius loop webpage, which may possibly be helpful with your experiments.
