I think the principle is good.

It may be easier to place the transmission line balun on the 50 ohm side of the simulator.

I suspect the divergence of the results above 20MHz may be associated with the balun.

Do the results change significantly if the balun is omitted or changed in some other way ?

Incidentally, I'm surprised the MLA-30 produced that curve, since I examined one, I think they must have made some improvements to the design.
