At first time a reverse engineered drawing of the ALA1530LN was posted user by Jinze Peng. There were the two parallel bipolars in the circuit diagram, intended to get two footprints at the pcb to choose between two types of bipolars, but he used the correct JFETs.

It may well be, that with the circuit posted by MikeM the author misinterpreted the original intention and designed a circuit with two real paralled bipolars of the same type (which does not provide any benefit).

With my experiments i successfully used BF862 JFETs. Unfortunately these very low noise FETs are obsolete. Cheap China offers are counterfeit.
