I have a question about the design of wire loops.? There are those with manufactured multi wires in one harness and the ribbon cable and the capacitance issues.? You mentioned a wire loop with evenly spaced wire, and I am assuming that would be of flat design like a disc starting either on the inside or the outside but flat.? What about making the wire antenna like a tube where the beginning and the end of the tube are at the same diameter?? Could you achieve directivity and would the capture area be the same?

Using multicore cable of any kind seems to be a neat way of making a
loop BUT the capacitance between turns is very high for flat ribbon
cable and multiconductor bundled cables so you end up with a somewhat
deaf low Q antenna which has limited tuning. If you make a same size
loop using spaced turns then the sensitivity and tuning range will be
much better.
