AT-200ProII or Z-11ProII? Shortest mobile Whip for 29 through 54 MHz??

I am considering purchase of ether AT-200ProII or Z-11ProII for use in an SUV equipped with a Motorola Syntor X9000 radio. I desire to tune 29-54 MHz contiguously to include Ham part 97 and Itinerant business Part 90 frequencies at 35.04 and 43.04 MHz. The radio is 100W FM.

1. Which tuner is best suited?
2. I would like to use a (Preferably) roof mounted whip antenna with NMO coaxial mount. Given that I have no requirements for HF. What is the shortest recommended antenna?

I like my AT-200Pro II but have not used or read up on the Z-11Pro II . and really can’t give you much advice on mobile HF antennas. I mostly am on 160 meters after 10:30PM most nights except when static crashes are too loud or thunderstorms are too close since a 160 meter antenna is very long and must wind blowing across it will charge it enough to zip you pretty hard if you happen to touch the coax end or the antenna. I advise you to contact ARRL headquarters or get in touch with K9EID Robert “Bob” Heil either source should be able to advise you much better than I can. I am diabetic, disabled, and have cancer so due to all the medications I sometimes don’t remember like I used to.

If I remember correctly, the Z11ProII isn't rated for 100 W continuous (FM), so that might seem to eliminate it at the outset.

To the original poster (rhyolite ? ... name and callsign would be nice) ... I just checked my manual and found this under specifications: ".1 to 125 watts SSB and CW peak power, 30 watts on PSK and digital modes, and 100 watts on 6 meters." and "1.8 to 54.0 MHz coverage."?? Nothing is said in the manual regarding FM operations but I would agree with Kirk.

The answer would best be from LDG Electronics.

Ed;

Name is Joe, Call here is K4SAT.

I am planning on upgrading to general, I was big into Hamsats in past years and now planning a road trip and new vehicle in 2021 so I want to equip for 10 and 6 FM for cruising. Also I have some licensed part 90 itinerants I wish to cover in the 35 and 43 MHz range. I want auto tune because I don't want to be stopping every time a band opens up to switch out coils or whips. My XYL will be annoyed enough by the chatter.

I contacted LDG directly via e-mail and got sort of a curt answer, "maybe an SGC tuner would work for you". Did not expect that, thought I would be steered to the AT-200ProII and given guidance on shortest whip for 10-6M.? I have no need for HF at this time.
