z100plus atu faulty,

Hi I have z100plus ATU, it does not tune correctly any More, upon investigations, i think I may have damaged either the driver chips or the CPU the relays on the indicator side do not operate anymore.
I want to get back to the state before I started to investigate so I require a diagram to investigate further and work with what I have blown.
Are the CPU available and if so from where.

Any help will be welcome

Re: LDG AT1000ProII

Good morning I own several LDG tuners and one is the LDG 1000. They all tune by pushing my ICOM radios tune button. I do not have an IC 7610 but there is no issue with IC 7000, 7200, 756 pro III or 9110. ??

I would suggest to make sure your cable is seated and ?try tuning with the LDG 1000 pro II and see if it keys the radio to tune. I¡¯m not sure which mode you are trying to tune with, but I have used RTTY for many years without and issues.?

Good luck.
Ken/W5KAM

Re: LDG Z11Proii shut down

I would surprised if they do not.?
Temporarily you can wind up a dozen feet if RG8X into a 6-6¡± spool in between the antenna and the ?entrance to your building.?
This¡±ugly balun¡±, as they are called, ?are much less efficient than a true 1:1 common mode current UnUn transformer.
UnUn means Unbalanced to Unbalanced.?
But if you find any improvement with the ugly balun, you would then know for sure you have common mode current flowing on the outside of your feed line creating some odd RF feedback issues with the way your station is set up.?

Re: New AT-1000ProII Issue?

oh nice, well how long have you had the tuner? and are you running the latest IC-7300 firmware?update (1.41)?
to be sure we are all on the same page when you press the tune button on the IC-7300 it changes mode to cw and transmits, and the at1000pro II starts to tune?
thanks?

LDG YT 847

Good day!!! I have such an LDG YT-847 autotuner. When I connected a bad antenna at 50 MHz, two coils failed. These are L4 and L5. But I didn¡¯t write down the data. And that was 5 years ago. Now I want to restore. Please send me a diagram or, in extreme cases, the data of the coil L4 (number of turns and wire diameter) and L5 (number of turns and wire diameter). Thanks in advance. Thank you.73!!!

Re: LDG Z11Proii shut down

No I am not, I also had the threshold set to 2 and just changed it to <3 the two lights flash.

I threw the antenna up quickly before my eye surgery because I new that I wouldn't be able to bend or lift anything for about 6 weeks, 2nd eye this Thursday then a couple more weeks of "lockdown"

do they have the 1:1's at gigaparts HRO or DXEngineering?

Re: LDG Z11Proii shut down

Same thing happens to me except on 160M. I think because I have the threshold set very close to the SWR that a slight increase will tell it to re-tune. What I do in that case is to put the tuner in bypass mode and then only retune when I tell it to.

I know, I should set the threshold higher.

Are you using a 1:1, common mode current choke on the coax before it enters your building?

Re: unun waterproofing

LDG should be reported to BBB, they can't support their products rather have others do their job on so called LDG Forum.

-Shame on them, they should post everything from schematics to firmware if they are having good intentions of keeping doing business with Ham Community.

-Stop blaming others. Get your self to work Mister Kincaid Shame on you!

Better this comments be posted!

Neil,
Thanks for the reply. I have read the info on the website and have sent the request to LDG already. They directed me to this site for support. I'll copy their email below. If anyone has suggestions on how to waterproof the device I would appreciate hearing your ideas. I don't want to dump the whole thing in tar. I just need to know what to focus on. The connectors appear to have gaskets. Do they need more waterproofing? The back panel is secured by 4 screws. Is there a watertight gasket? Does this entire seam require more waterproofing?
Thanks,
Bob
"Hello,

Thanks for the message. Due to the on-going hacking from Russians and others, LDG continues to struggle with the technical side of ¡°tech-support¡±. For the time being, e-mail and phone support is being re-directed to our Groups.IO page with just enough moderation to keep the hackers out.

Which tuner do you have? Which rig are you going to use??

Sorry I am a bit late to this thread and I have not read previous posts...

But in my tuner manuals there was the wiring diagram for the cable. I have a feeling that the cable you are after is probably very simple to construct from TRS mini plugs and a short piece of cable...

Bob,

According to the the balun' manual: "
You can make it completely waterproof and suitable for direct exposure to the weather at any mounting angle for outdoor use if you wish. Simply apply a bead of Silicone caulking material (available at any hardware store) around the back plate seal, and let it dry before use."

I use it the same setup at1000pro ic 7300 ldg is aware of the problem it will be a firmware replacement in the meantime? press tune on your radio the tuner will be ready to tune then drop to rtty or cw and key the Mike it will then tune
