Re: AT-600ProII software
开云体育Download the Meter Protocol document. Read it and the Manual for the 600Pro II. ? SOFTWARE LDG Electronics does not provide any software for controlling the AT-1000ProII or AT- 600ProII via the meter port. This manual is provided as a guide for writing your own control software. ? However, it is possible to control these tuners without having to write a single line of code. Because all the commands are single characters of plain ASCII, it is possible to use a simple serial terminal emulator package, such as HyperTerminal2 or Indigo3, to control the tuner. Simply connect at 38,400 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, one stop bit, no handshaking, and just type a space, followed by the desired character on the keyboard you wish to send. For example, to toggle antennas, simply hit spacebar, followed by the capital A key, and the antenna relay should click, and the tuner should respond with either “1” or “2”, depending on which antenna becomes selected. Note that the tuner’s CPU returns to sleep in a short period of time, so you may need to hit the space bar and the letter “A” more quickly, so that the “A” is received while the CPU is still awake. ? Re: AT-600ProII software
The cable is home brew (software and cable instructions are on the AT-600 Pro II and AT-1000 Pro II product pages)?- here is the cable: Here is the Mini DIN: The software and cable only work with the 600 Pro II and 1000 Pro II. The 4 pin port in the rear of the tuner was originally used for the external matching meter. MIke KD9CK

Re: Software updates
Hi all,
I am back using the LDG software to control my AT600 Pro II unit (OS = Win10 PC) Everything works well (switching antennas, tuning) but one function does not react as I would expect: the "bypass" button. - AT600 in bypass mode (bypass LED illuminated), "bypass" button greyed - If I hit the bypass button, it turns blue, all LEDs on the AT600 bargraph (2 rows) blinck for half second and the Bypass LED goes off -> AT600 is not in bypass mode anymore - if I hit again the bypass button (software), it remains blue, again all LEDs of the bargraph blinck but the AT600 remains in "tune" mode (Bypass LED remains OFF). In other word: using the software, I can not switch between bypass and tune mode. Any help or hint would be appreciated. 73, Claude, F5PBL |
At-200ProII & Yaesu FT-991A
Good day all!
I just received my AT-200ProII, hooked it up and started tuning. So far so good with one exception.? When I key up the radio is not dropping the RF and switching to CW to auto tune.? Is is supposed to on the FT-991A? I do have the tuner set to "LAMP" and it will tune if I switch to CW or whistle into the mic on FM but its not automatically switching.? Thanks in advance! 73 de W5YGS |

From the advertising. "The LDG AT-200 PC is the first automatic antenna tuner specifically engineered for USB computer control." If your handy with a soldering iron (or know someone who is) the Two switches LED and resistor would be fairly easy to do. Cheers Neil -----Original Message-----

Re: AT-1000 Pro II High SWR
Terry,
Have you tried this? Automatic Tune SWR Threshold: When the AT-1000ProII is in fully automatic tuning mode, an automatic tuning cycle will begin any time RF is present and the SWR has exceeded a set threshold. This threshold is user-programmable to any value between 1.7:1 and 3.0:1. To set the automatic tune SWR threshold, press Func -> L Dn repeatedly (press Func, then L Dn; Func, then L Dn, and so on...) to cycle through all the options. The SWR threshold will be displayed on the SWR scale momentarily. Steve, AI3KS |

Steve,
I agree, that's what the manual says.? I've asked LDG Tech Support about why my unit will not allow me to change the threshold setting and they effectively just shrugged their shoulders.? I suppose I could sent the unit back to them for repair, with would take them six to eight weeks - ugh.? Do you have any suggestions on how to get the unit to respond to the requested value change?? Also, I've looked through the user manual to see if there is a way to reset the unit to factory defaults; I don't see one.? Are you aware if we end-users have a way to do that? Thanks, Terry, n0ve |

Hi David,
Thanks for the explanation; although I don't fully understand it.? The antenna may be using the coax as a counterpoise, I don't know, however, I do have a 50' counterpoise attached to the counterpoise connection point on the bottom of the manufacturer's matching box. What I don't have is the counterpoise run directly under the wire of the antenna, if that makes any difference. Regards, Terry, n0ve |
Re: AT-200PC question
开云体育Tom, ? I can see four solutions to this. ?
?
??????? Locate the power to the Relay and either cut the circuit board (or the wire) to obtain the power from the circuit. ??????? Use the circuit diagram below to wire it up. ??????? I have used the assumptions that: ??????????????????????? The relay in the 200PC is OFF for ANT ONE ??????????????????????? That you can work out the required R1 using the LED you picked and the voltage available. ??????? To use, put the DPDT switch in the Manual Position. (Should be down MANUAL led will come on) ??????? Select ANT 1 or ANT2 to use. (ANT 1 (up), and ANT 2 (Down) ??????? The LED should come on when you are in MANUAL (Bypass Mode) ??????? If you have your computer connected the software may not report the correct antenna mode. ?
You could use one on each ANT port and have 4 antennas connects with one SPST switch but still have to switch antennas. ?
??????? This would require that you decode the frequency. ??????? Then based on the frequency send the command to the Tuner. ??????? You would have to disconnect this (or put in relay software in the Arduino software to relay the commands from your Computer) ? Please note that all of the above is based on never having seen one of these units. ? I have put my suggestions in order of Cheapest to Most Expensive based on $US prices. ? If I were you I would go for OPTION 3, No need to modify your TUNER, adds the ability to have a 3rd antenna system and from what I can see on the Web coaxial switches are reasonably priced in the US and many have them in their junk boxes. (If you combine 3 and 4 you can have 4 antennas and no computer control still. ? Personally I use ITEM 4 as I already use an Arduino to control my Station (automagically) including switching all my Linear(s) and RX amps into TX Mode , all antenna relays from 160 to 432mhz, my LDG AT-600ProII from HF to 6m (ant 1 – Ant 2) and passing any computer driven commands, switching my ALS-500 to the correct band, switching in/or out my LOW PASS filter etc and lots more. ? ? Re: AT-1000 Pro II High SWR
开云体育The reason this is happening is probably in the way the EFHW antenna is operating.? Many end fed antennas use the coax feeding the antenna as a form of a counterpoise.? Your antenna analyzer did not see this because it is using very low power, and thus unlikely to see big reflections on the coax.? The tuner sees high reflections because of higher power.? I do not think this indicates any fault with the tuner, just a need to better understand the antenna matching. Some users report good results by shortening or lengthening your coax which feed the antenna.? Others report doing what you did, which is creating a common mode choke with coax.? You could also look into experimenting with a balun or ferrite based common mode choke. ? Hope This Helps, David W0IM._,_._,_ |
