100¡¯ dipole
Have 100¡¯ dipole fed with 450 ohm open wire for all band operation. At the so239 antenna connection on the tuner should I use a 1:1 or 4:1 balun? I¡¯m guessing a 4:1 or even 9:1 would be more

Re: Possible to use an end-fed random wire on 2 meters or 70 cm?
John, Why not randomly cut it to the exact frequency. If its too short for 144mhz cut it into two or three 432mhz antennas. Cheers Neil Sent: Monday, 23 March 2020 15:51 To: [email protected]

Re: Possible to use an end-fed random wire on 2 meters or 70 cm?
John, You can feed end-fed wires at any frequency -- but whether they will work effectively as antennas is another story. :) Gooch's Paradox, which states that "RF Gotta Go Somewhere," doesn't mention

Possible to use an end-fed random wire on 2 meters or 70 cm?
I have never heard of using a tuner to feed a random wire on 2 meters or 70 cm. Can this be done? Any help or ideas appreciated! I've got the wire! 73, John N6HI

Re: LDG100ProII question about memory tunes
Your question was/is clear. The answer is still it depends on the antenna. If the antenna has a higher natural bandwidth (low Q, lower SWR across the band) the tuner has less to do at different

Re: LDG100ProII question about memory tunes
Thanls Mike for yiur replay, but i think i made the question in the wrong way, What I'd like to know is the resolucion of the frequency at the memories. Each memory store the complete frequency? F.i.

Re: LDG100ProII question about memory tunes
It depends on the antenna. If it¡¯s a wider bandwidth ?system you won¡¯t need as many. If it¡¯s a narrow bandwidth one it will take more... Mike

LDG100ProII question about memory tunes
Dear all, I understand the AT100ProII memorizes the tune for each frequency up to 2000 memories. About this, I have one question, If I'd like to memorize manually all the posible tunes at 40meters,

Problems writing 16F886 with at897plus-25K22_09302014.hex
I'm trying to get my 897Plus back up and running after frying the PIC by leaving it connected to the antenna during a windstorm. When I try to write the hex file to the device, both the Windows

Re: Software updates
Hi, Not really sure to understand what you meant but I do not think this option is a good choice. The folder creation process works since : 1/ the folder is created where I wanted it to be (i.e. on D)

Hi Mike, The reason for my vague message is that I have been in private contact with Dwayne on this matter for some time and did not feel it appropriate to let anything discussed into a public forum.
