Have 100¡¯ dipole fed with 450 ohm open wire for all band operation. At the so239 antenna connection on the tuner should I use a 1:1 or 4:1 balun? I¡¯m guessing a 4:1 or even 9:1 would be more likely to bring the impedance lower and closer th the tuning. I have read using a balun on the shack end connected to a tuner is not recommended. Not sure why, logic indicates should work fine. Sake of discussion will use LDG 100 series.?
