Re: LDG AT-100Pro2 to FT-710 Interface Cable

the package from ldg that the cable comes in, shows that acc-1 is for the 710. I did tell hro of the descrepency and they kindly replaced the acc-2 with the acc-1 at no charge for me.

Re: ldg at100 Pro ll

Ok great information,
I am waiting on them to?get back to me, as I have a at-1000pro 2 that doesn't work on the meter/pc TTL port, as they now sell them with it switched off, in firmware,
I hope that they will send me the firmware that has not been disabled, as I have a interface for my Kenwood TS 2000 that uses this port to set the tuner,
Dave

Re: LDG AT-100Pro2 to FT-710 Interface Cable

I use the ACC-1 with my FT710 and the AT1000PRO2. Works well. I don't believe the ACC-2 will work with the FT-710.

according to the package that the acc-2 came in, you should use the acc-1 for the 710

Re: RC-100/RT100 Question

I posted this as a reply to a mental mish mash of the unun post and this one.? I have cleaned it up as to this post, and re-posted here.

As previously pointed out, the choice of ratio depends on the antenna impedance relative to the tuning range of the tuner.? The best approach is to measure the impedance at the feed point of the open wire line with an antenna analyzer or NanoVNA.? I have used an MFJ analyzer for years but now have and prefer the NanoVNA.? Good NanoVNAs are available inexpensively. I got mine from DX Engineering.

If you get one you can measure the antenna at the open wire feed point. The actual impedances measured will inform as to what transform impedance is appropriate. I used a 1:1 on my 25’ OCF flagpole antenna. It tunes well from 40-6 meters and will tune 80 but I suspect the overall efficiency is pretty low. For you, with the RT-100 in line the ratio may not matter much as long as it is connected between the open wire line and the coax.

Re: LDG AT-100Pro2 to FT-710 Interface Cable

Does the tune work now or only as a 12V source??

Re: RC-100/RT100 Question

There is something be said about what the SWR is to start with. An SWR of say, 4 to 1 may mean z of 200 or z of 12.5.
The tuner may be happy with the 200 being quartered to 50, but not with the 12.5 presenting as z3.125 if a 4:1 is used.

In short, yes. I have a distribution block distributing power from my ICOM switching power supply to my RC/RT-600, my RIGblaster audio interface and my ct-17 serial to CI-V driver.?

Certainly you can do so.

There is a very unprofessional video I just did on the subject now that I. Rewatch it I probably should have took notes on a piece of paper and could have trimmed it down to a 3 minute video.
